Serengeti Serena Lodge is a standard luxury lodge in Central Serengeti National Park set on a hill with awe-inspiring views of the Savannah grasslands of the vast national park of Serengeti. During the months of April and June the migration passes through the lodge making the area bustle with animal actions. The lodge rooms have private balconies overlooking the plains.
The architecture of the rondavel huts is inspired by the African traditional village and all the 66 guest rooms are self contained and well furnished. There are Triple, Double/twin and single rooms available and the lodge is a nice option also for families with Children included.
There is a gift shop and a massage parlor in addition to a nice restaurant and bar.
Serengeti Serena Lodge location
The Serengeti Serena Lodge location is more centrally located in the Central parts of the park, and therefore a great place to stay if you want to explore the wildlife rich Seronera River Valley but it is also a convenient lodge to stay in if you want to enjoy the Hot Air Balloon Safari in the Serengeti National Park.
When the Wildebeest Migration herds are concentrating in the northern parts of the Kogatende and the general Mara river areas, staying at Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge is also possible if you have at least 2 or 3 nights. You can then take day trips to the Mara River and back in the afternoon, especially on the days that you have a full day in the Serengeti.
If you are tired of the picnic lunches after a long safari in the Northern Tanzania Safari Circuit, the Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge is the perfect place to stay (especially if you are with kids), or travelling with the much older folks. The lodge’s location allows for a more relaxed safari pace in that you go out for morning game drive and come back to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon you can decide to take a dip in the relaxing swimming pool or take a nap before heading back for sunset game viewing later in the afternoon.
